Wendy Lands sings The Music of The Pianist Wladyslaw Szpilman

Together with the best-selling book and the film by ROMAN POLANSKI about WLADYSLAW SZPILMAN, the synonym "THE PIANIST" is now known all over the world.

Outside of the Polish borders it is relatively unknown that WLADYSLAW SZPILMAN was not only a composer of numerous classical works but that he wrote close to 500 popular songs, which popularity outside his homeland was denied to him for political reasons.

This is being rectified with this new CD produced in the USA "Wendy Lands sings The Music of The Pianist Wladyslaw Szpilman" .

Under the direction of producer JOHN LEFTWICH (Rickie Lee Jones, Lyle Lovett, Chet Baker) a team of Top US-Musicians gathered around the Canadian Singer WENDY LANDS and has created this fabulous CD.

It has become a unique combination of popular alternative rock, jazzy arrangements and sensitive, expressive lyrics, without deviating from the path supplied by the composer.
